Chris Stapleton, Snoop Dogg Reimagine Phil Collins' 'In The Air Tonight' For 'MNF'

ESPN's "Monday Night Football" broadcast opened with a new music video featuring eight-time Grammy Award winner Chris Stapleton, entertainment icon Snoop Dogg, and world renowned-drummer Cindy Blackman Santana reimagining Phil Collins' megahit "In the Air Tonight."

Monday night's premiere of "In the Air Tonight" cover by Snoop and Stapleton ahead of "Monday Night Football" adds to the television franchise's "Two Games, One Night," special presentation. Santana plays drums on the new version of Collins' 1981 hit song.

The new open kicked off "Monday Night Football" games on ESPN and ABC on Monday, September 18th.

It will continue for all "Monday Night Football" games, ESPN's Week 18 Saturday Doubleheader, Super Wild Card, and its first Divisional playoff game.

"Heavy Action," the iconic Monday Night Football theme music, was played following the new open, leading into Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Lisa Salters' call of the game.

"In the Air Tonight," one of greatest songs of all-time, has a deep relationship with football, having been cited as a song that helps players shift their mindset to prepare to compete.

"It was fascinating to me to see how one song could get you in that mode to go kick some tail," two-time Super Bowl champion and Steelers legend Hines Ward said in an ESPN feature about the song.

Luke Bryan To Host Hulu Docuseries 'It's All Country'

Hulu recently announced that country superstar Luke Bryan will host the upcoming six-episode documentary series "It's All Country."

Bryan will also serve as co-executive producer of the series, along with former American football star Peyton Manning via his Omaha Productions banner, as well as NFL Films and Walt Disney Television Alternative.

According to a release from Hulu, the docuseries will mark 100 years since the recording of what is considered to be the first country music record, Fiddlin' John Carson's "Little Log Cabin in the Lane" for Okeh Records in June 1923.

It will look at "the iconic songs and artists that changed the face of country music forever," highlighting "the cultural impact and memorable performers and performances that make country music an American and growing global sensation."

Hulu has yet to announce a broadcast date for the series.

Hardy Teams Up With Beartooth On 'The Better Me'

Country singer-songwriter Hardy teamed up with rock band Beartooth for the song "The Better Me," which marks their first-ever collaboration.

"I've always been a Beartooth fan," Hardy shared. "I'm excited we finally got to do something together and I'm honored to be part of their new record."

"There are times where we feel like there is a way better version of ourselves somewhere deep inside that we need to find and bring back to the forefront of our lives," added Beartooth frontman Caleb Shomo. "This song is about going through the things that brought me to that conclusion. Simply put, I made a choice to be a better me."

"How many times have I said I was gonna be someone / When I get back onto my feet? / Tomorrow, I'm gonna make changes / 'Cause today I can barely speak," Hardy and Shomo sing together throughout the up-tempo chorus. "I know how to pull myself out / And it's gonna hurt like Hell to set myself free / Just say it out loud, today's the day I stop fu-ing around / And be the better me / (And be the better me, oh)."

"The Better Me" appears on Beartooth's forthcoming album, The Surface, due out on October 13th via Red Bull Records. The album will be out on a variety of formats, including CD, cassette and several vinyl variants.
