"Wilted Rose" is a Southern rock ballad, featuring soulful guitar lines. The song sees Wilson lending harmonies to Chris Robinson's soulful lead vocals. The track slowly progresses into a heavy, psychedelic-tinged jam section featuring Hammond organ and slide guitar.
"It's an honor to wail on this record with these legendary, pioneering rockstars," Wilson wrote on social media. "Welcome back boys! You've been missed."
"Wilted Rose" arrived on streaming services and as a digital download.
Happiness Bastards is the band's first album of new original songs in nearly 15 years.

Meanwhile, Barnes & Noble will be offering an exclusive LP edition of The Border, pressed on orange vinyl and there will be an exclusive vinyl version offered on Willie's D2C store that includes a 12" x 12" designed lyric book featuring the gorgeous album artwork with extensive listening notes by noted writer Mikal Gilmore and photos by Pamela Springsteen.

The album's title track - Willie's insightful interpretation of Rodney Crowell's "The Border" - is available on all DSPs.
Co-written by Crowell and Allen Shamblin for Crowell's 2019 Texas album, "The Border" describes the inner life and outer reality of a border guard.
The Border will be Nelson's 152nd album. It premieres 10 newly recorded Nelson studio performances including four new Willie Nelson/Buddy Cannon compositions - "Once Upon a Yesterday," "What If I'm Out of My Mind," "Kiss Me When You're Through," "How Much Does It Cost," and "Hank's Guitar," a new song cowritten by Buddy Cannon and Bobby Tomberlin.
Produced by longtime musical collaborator Buddy Cannon, The Border showcases Willie Nelson in lead vocals, Trigger, accompanied by Mickey Raphael on harmonica, Bobby Terry on acoustic guitar, electric guitar, steel guitar, James Mitchell on electric guitar, Jim 'Moose' Brown on Wurlitzer, B-3 organ, piano, synthesizer, Fred Eltringham on drums, percussion, and Barry Bales on upright bass). Backing vocals are by Buddy Cannon and Melonie Cannon.
The Border features cover art depicting the Big Bend border area between Texas and Mexico.
Willie Nelson & Family will be on the road from June through September co-headlining the Outlaw Music Festival Tour 2024.

Kelly Clarkson is set to co-host the opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Clarkson will be joined by NFL hall of famer Peyton Manning and veteran NBC sportscaster Mike Tirico as hosts of the opening ceremony.

Paris is set to host the 2024 Summer Olympics, also known as the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad or Paris 2024, from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
"You know, Peyton hosted the Country Music Awards, Kelly's one of the greatest of all time, so the three of us are going to do an album," Tirico joked to "Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon in introducing the three-headed hosting crew.
"I'm so glad we can say it. We've been holding this forever," Clarkson said about the news.
The Paris Opening Ceremony will air on NBC and Peacock at noon ET on July 26. The ceremony will be held outside of a stadium on a nearly four-mile stretch along the Seine River in the heart of the French capital.
The Parade of Nations will be done with boats carrying athletes past landmarks, climaxing with the Eiffel Tower.
